KILCA: JULY 15 IS THE NAME OF A GREAT STRUGGLE FOR DEMOCRACY WRITTEN IN GOLDEN LETTERS IN THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY.

Karatay Municipality opened the "July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day Digital Virtual Exhibition" on the 5th anniversary of July 15 in order to not forget the treacherous coup attempt of July 15, to create a level of social awareness and to spread this to a wide base as much as possible. Evaluating the exhibition, Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca emphasized that July 15 was the name of a great struggle for democracy written in golden letters in the history of humanity, in which the national will prevailed over tutelage, courage over betrayal, and the nation over traitors.

Within the scope of the “July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day” activities, the “15 July Democracy and National Unity Day Digital Exhibition” was opened by Karatay Municipality.

The exhibition, which consists of photographs taken during and after the treacherous coup attempt on the night of July 15, 2016, emphasizes the level of social awareness and the sense of national unity and solidarity.

Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca said in a statement on the subject that they implemented the project in order not to forget the treacherous coup attempt of 15 July and to contribute to the creation of a social awareness level.

Emphasizing that July 15 is the name of a great struggle for democracy written in golden letters in the history of humanity, in which the national will triumphed over tutelage, courage over betrayal, and the nation over traitors, Mayor  Hasan Kılca said: “A group of traitors belonging to the FETO terrorist organization, who infiltrated state institutions and is the vigilante of dark circles, attempted an unprecedented coup attempt on the state administration, which came to power with the will of the nation, on July 15, 2016, 5 years ago. The coup attempt that took place on the night of July 15 took its place in our history, never to be forgotten. That night, FETO traitors turned the nation's weapon against the nation and killed 251 of our citizens, and hundreds of our citizens became veterans. Numerous public buildings, including the Presidential Complex and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), were bombed by FETO-member coup plotters. Thankfully, our nation took to the streets at the call of our President and Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The putschist traitors never took into account that our nation, the sons of a deep civilization that has ruled the world, has a big heart woven with the love of the homeland and faith, and that they can stop the pallets of the tanks with those steel hearts. Because patriotism is a fire that burns within us and will never go out. Our beloved nation, whose history is full of victories, showed the same heroism on 15 July as it showed in Çanakkale, Sakarya, the Caucasus and many other wars.”

Hasan Kılca underlined that no opportunity will be given to anyone who has treacherous ambitions on our country and nation. Underlining that they never forgot what kind of epic our beloved nation wrote on the night of July 15, Kılca concluded his statement as follows: “We must protect these unique lands bequeathed to us by our ancestors, martyrs and veterans, and move our country forward in a way that deserves them by working tirelessly and in unity. I wish God's mercy to all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of our flag, homeland and prayer without blinking, condolences to their precious families, and good and long life to our veterans. I would like to express my gratitude to our beloved nation, who wrote an epic on the evening of July 15 and shielded their bodies to prevent betrayal.”
