KILCA: JOURNALISM IS A PROFESSION REQUIRING PATIENCE AND  EFFORT

Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, published a celebration message due to the  24 July Journalists and Press Day. Kılca, the Mayor, who celebrated all the press members working in Konya, said : “The press, which is one of the necessaries of Democracy, is the most effective tool of citizens to get the true and fastest news”.

 Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, who published a celebration message due to the 24 July Journalists and Press Day anniversary, emphasized that the press is one of the necessary professions for the establishment of the right to get information and news.

Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, who mentioned the importance of the press in terms of access to information accurately and quickly, as well as being voice of the nation, said that the press has gained a different dimension together with the advancing technology.

Hasain Kılca said that journalism is a difficult profession fulfilled by compromising the life and by disregarding the concept of time, and expressed followings in his message:

“The press has a significant function enabling us to express different perspectives and views and mention troubles, and to strengthen the social awareness. The press, which is one of the necessaries of Democracy, is the most effective tool of citizens to get the true and fastest news. I think that the press which makes us aware of every single development and significantly contributes to the growth, development and improvement of our country performs a holy duty in this context.   Konya press has an important organizational memory as well as having a deep-rooted past. Our distinguished press, which greatly contributes to us through its suggestions and criticisms in our municipal services and which has been an important advisor in the development of our city, is very valuable for our city.  In consideration of that, I celebrate the 24 July Journalists and Press Day of all the press, especially local press members who contribute to sociocultural and economic development of Konya and wish them success in their works”.
