KARATAY YOUTH SPENT THEIR SUMMER HOLIDAYS IN FULL

BURSA, CANAKKALE AND ISTANBUL TRAVEL TOUR FOR THE YOUNG PEOPLE WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE PROJECT

Karatay Municipality City Council's Youth Assembly organized the “Summer School” project for young people to spend the summer months much more fruitful, productive, and enjoyable. With the said project, Karatay youth participated in many sportive and social activities for five weeks, from swimming to paintball, from personal development courses to many other activities, where young people would get to know themselves and their abilities better. The young people who attended the Summer School also participated in the travel tour to Istanbul, Bursa and Çanakkale, which are very important for our country's history and civilization. Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, sent the young people who participated in the tour from Konya.

The “Summer School” carried out by the Karatay Municipality City Council's Youth Assembly has ended.  The training and activities of the project, which started on July 26 and finished on August 20, were held at Karatay Municipality 23 Nisan Imam Hatip Secondary School and many facilities in the district.

KARATAY YOUTH SPENT THEIR SUMMER HOLIDAYS IN FULL

50 Karatay youth, aged between  14 and 18, who participated in the project, spent their summer holidays much more fruitful with some courses such as the Quran, Siyer-i Nebi (prophetic biography), İlm-i Hal (catechism), and Companions Life, as well as sports activities such as Astroturf, swimming, and paintball for five weeks.

The closing ceremony of the project, organized by the Karatay City Council's Youth Assembly, was held at the Karatay City Council building. During the closing ceremony in which the project was evaluated, and the young people who participated in the project made contributions, the young people who participated in the Summer School Project were also awarded certificates of achievement and participation.

WE WILL ALWAYS BE TOGETHER WITH OUR YOUTH

Abdurrahim Arslan, the City Council President of Karatay Municipality spoke at the program and said the following, “Our Karatay Municipality has so many physical investments, especially related to the youth. Our municipality carries out significant works from meeting several needs of our schools to astroturfs, from summer school projects to libraries and many other scientific projects. We, the City Council, have implemented our 'Summer School' project,  carried out with the organization of our youth assembly to be much closer with our youth from Karatay, and now we are closing our project, but, of course, we will not end this works. Hereinafter, we will continue such activities in our City Council building together with our municipality. Our youth center, where we can carry out these activities under better conditions, is also being made by our municipality. I hope it will be brought to our county in a short time about a year. We will have the opportunity to make these activities more comprehensive there.”

Ahmet Babuccu, the President of Karatay City Council’s Youth Assembly emphasized that we, the City Council, will continue to produce projects that will improve and train young people in every sense, and said the following: Fortunately, we spent a good summer with our 50 students. Of course, this is not the end but the beginning. We, the Karatay Youth Assembly, think that there are more hearts to capture, and in this sense, we are the guardians of the youth. We will be waiting for them here. I would also like to thank  Mr. Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, for his support to the project.”

On the other hand, young people who participated in the "Summer School" project organized by the Karatay Municipality City Council's Youth Assembly will also have a travel tour to Bursa, Istanbul, and Çanakkale. Young people will have the opportunity to see the historical, touristic and natural beauties of the abovementioned cities.

HASAN KILCA, THE MAYOR, SENT THE YOUNG PEOPLE WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE TOUR

Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, sent the young people who participated in the travel tour to Bursa where the tour program will begin.

Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, who thanked Karatay City Council's Youth Assembly due to the meaningful project, said the following: "Our City Council, together with our Women and Youth Council, is carrying out excellent projects. Within the scope of the Summer School, you both learned and had fun. You have witnessed many wonderful events. And you are crowning this with a travel tour to Bursa and Çanakkale. You will grow up with our national and moral values by visiting historical places and witnessing historical moments with such tours.  We hope that such projects will continue increasingly. We will continue to protect our youth. I congratulate all of you for keeping yourself busy during the summer months and participating in these events. I hope to be together again next year,"
