The "Karatay Robot Competition", organized in cooperation with Karatay Municipality, Mevlana Development Agency (MEVKA), and Karatay District Directorate of National Education, ended. 412 students, who designed their robots, went head-to-head for two days with the support of 103 instructors. Karatay District Governor Zafer Orhan, who watched the final of the competition, said that all the students participating in the competition are first by emphasizing that the success of the students is promising for the future. Mayor of Karatay Hasan Kılca also called attention that with the Robokaratay Project, the young will carry our country's success in the national technology move further. MEVKA Secretary General Ihsan Bostancı stated that the students' success was crowned with this competition and said, “These successes gave the students confidence and courage for much greater success in the future.”.
The "Karatay Robot Competition", held by Karatay Municipality, Mevlana Development Agency (MEVKA), and Karatay District Directorate of National Education, ended.
The final program, held at Kılıçarslan Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and in which 412 students from 45 schools competed, witnessed a great competition of students. The students competed in nine different categories to be ranked in the final in the tough competitions that lasted for two days.
Zafer Orhan, the Karatay District Governor, Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, İhsan Bostancı, the MEVKA Secretary General, Sami Sağdıç, the Karatay District Director of National Education, school administrations, teachers, students and their families attended the final program of the Karatay Robot Competition.
THE YOUNG WILL CARRY THE NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY MOVE FORWARD
Mayor of Karatay Hasan Kılca noted that they aim to introduce robotics and coding to young people and cause them like and contribute to the development of our country in this field through the Robokaratay Project.
Mayor Hasan Kılca, who stated that he believes that the young will carry Turkey's success in the national technology move much further thanks to such projects, said: "We witnessed the excitement of our young brothers for two days with the Karatay Robot Competition. Thanks for the hard work and effort of our students. I would also like to congratulate our parents and teachers for being with our children. Very crucial developments are happening in the world. Due to its domestic and national technology move, Turkey is taking important steps in many areas from health to space studies, from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV-SİHA) to electric and self-driving domestic cars. The steps of projects requiring high technology are taken with such competitions. Our youth will set a higher standard with the robots produced and designed here. Our youth who will contribute to national technological developments will be trained here. Our Directorate of National Education is doing good work in helping our young people on the pathway leading to better tomorrow. Our agency MEVKA provides great support. I also congratulate them.”
MAYOR HASAN KILCA'S TRAVEL GESTURE TO THE COMPETING STUDENTS
Hasan Kılca also gave the good news to the students and stated that they would organize a travel program for all students who participated in the Karatay Robot Competition and ranked.
We will organize a trip to Istanbul for all our students ranking the highest and to Ankara National Library for all participants. This support of ours will also be exciting for our young who did not participate, and I believe that we will see them in these competitions next year. We, the Karatay Municipality, will always continue to stand by education, science, and art. I would like to congratulate all our young, teachers, and families who participated in the Karatay Robot Competition once again.”
WE WILL CONTINUE TO BRING OUR STUDENTS TOGETHER WITH ROBOTIC TECHNOLOGIES
İhsan Bostancı, Secretary General of Mevlana Development Agency (MEVKA), said that the success of the students was crowned with the competition and this success gave them confidence and courage for much greater success in the future by emphasizing that there was a preparation process that took months behind the Karatay Robot Competition.
İhsan Bostancı, who emphasized the importance of inter-institutional cooperation and stated that they will maintain to contribute to bringing the young together with science, said the following; “It is very important to be able to achieve unity and solidarity in such works. With this competition within the scope of the Robokaratay project, which we carried out together with our Karatay Municipality and Karatay District Directorate of National Education, we tried to establish an environment for our young, who are the guarantee of our future, in order to meet with Robotic coding and robotic technologies. Our competing students had a preparation period of 4 to 5 months. Then, they entered an intense two-day competition process. We aimed to increase the experience and knowledge of our students. There is no winner in these competitions. The effort you made to develop the robots during the competition and your participation in the competition is very valuable. I would like to thank our students, teachers, and families for their hard work.”
ALL STUDENTS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE COMPETITION ARE FIRST FOR US
Zafer Orhan, Karatay District Governor, said that he is pleased that Karatay is hosting the robot competition. Zafer Orhan, who thanked everyone who contributed to the competition stated that all the students participating in the competition are first for us.
Orhan said, “The important thing in today's education system is the ability to use the information and to catch up with technology. I am happy to see these two main topics due to this competition. Our students were provided a good competition opportunity within the scope of the Robokaratay Project. Our young have done what is necessary. The important thing is not to be placed, but to come together and catch this spirit in these programs. I see that the goal has been achieved with the Karatay Robot Competition. All our students who endeavored in the competition are first for us. I would like to thank MEVKA, our District Directorate of National Education, our students, teachers, and their families, especially our Mayor of Karatay, Mr. Hasan Kılca, who contributed to the competition."
After the protocol speeches, in the Karatay Robot Competition, which lasted for two days, awards were given to the students and trainers who ranked in nine different categories.
