The Saraçoğlu Social Facility, which was completed by Karatay Municipality and will serve as a Bilgehane by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, was opened. Vahdettin Özkan, the Governor of Konya, who spoke at the opening ceremony, said that Bilgehanes are a good example of lifelong education. While Selman Özboyacı,  the AK Party Deputy of Konya, emphasized that Bilgehanes are an important investment for the social lives of young people, Uğur İbrahim Altay, the Mayor of  Konya Metropolitan Municipality thanked Mayor Hasan Kılca for their cooperation. Altay noted that Celaleddin Karatay Bilgehane shall serve 530 young people.  Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, stated that Saracoğlu Celaleddin Karatay Bilgehane is an example of the "Konya Model of Municipality" approach.

By adding a new one to the social facilities it brought to the district, Karatay Municipality opened the facility completed in Saraçoğlu Neighborhood and will be made available for young people.

Saracoglu Celaleddin Karatay Bilgehane is located on an area of 771 square meters. The facility, which was transferred to Konya Metropolitan Municipality, shall serve the region as Bilgehane by the Metropolitan Municipality.

The facility,  designed and brought to the district to brighten up the social life of the youth, will make significant contributions to the education, social and cultural life of the region and the youth.

 Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, who spoke at the opening ceremony, emphasized that they are involved in all areas of social life and said that they are happy to complete the construction of the social facility that shall serve the youth as Celaleddin Karatay Bilgehane in Saraçoğlu District.

WE ARE UNTIRINGLY SERVING FOR KARATAY

Noting that they serve untiringly for Karatay, Hasan Kılca emphasized that they contribute to the modern city identity with service investments that citizens of all ages benefit from, and said; “We continue to work by keeping our shoulder to the wheel

to serve the residents of this beautiful city much better. With the love of Karatay in our hearts, we work hard with miscellaneous service circles from infrastructure and superstructure works to social and cultural projects, from education to health, without distinguishing every corner of our Karatay, we consider as the heart of our city. We are glad to complete the construction of Celaleddin Karatay Bilgehane, a social facility that will serve our youth, in our Saraçoğlu Neighborhood. Today, we are very happy to have put our signature under this valuable work that is promising for our youth. It is a source of pride for us to contribute to our rising ancient civilization in our Konya, which we can also define as the spatial equivalent of our civilization, and today we are together at the opening of such a place.”

THE FACILITY IS AN EXAMPLE OF THE "KONYA MODEL OF MUNICIPALITY" APPROACH

Stating that Saraçoğlu Celaleddin Karatay Bilgehane is an example of the “Konya Model of Municipalism” approach, Kılca said the followings; “This understanding is really a system that Turkey considers as a role model, but which is difficult for many cities to implement. However, it is actually easy for us, who are in great coordination with the Metropolitan and all district municipalities, because there really is great harmony in Konya. With this understanding, we, as a big family, make effort with all our strength to change the face of our Konya and its districts. In this way, the support of our governorship, institutions, organizations, and, of course, our valuable citizens is extremely important for us. Therefore, we are working by acting shoulder to shoulder to make our Konya and Karatay a much more beautiful, safer, and much more developed town. Today, we witnessed one of the best examples of this collaboration and harmony once again.

OUR YOUTH WILL SPEND THEIR TIME MORE EFFICIENTLY

Hasan Kılca, who also gave information to the guests about the Bilgehane they brought to the Saraçoğlu District, emphasized that the young people will spend their time more quality and productively with the facility and concluded his speech as follows; “We turned over this facility, which we made on an area of 771 square meters, to our Metropolitan Municipality. Our Metropolitan Municipality will also put this facility into the service of our youth as Bilgehane. Our young people will use their time in this Bilgehane much better and more efficiently, and each of them will become valuable individuals for their families and our country with the education and knowledge they receive. I wish all the best for this facility, which will contribute significantly to the social and economic life of our city and district.

OUR MUNICIPALITIES OF KONYA COMPETE IN SERVICE

Hasan Angı, the Konya Provincial Head of AK Party, who started his speech by wishing Saraçoğlu Celaleddin Karatay Bilgehane to be beneficial to the youth and the residents of the Saraçoğlu neighborhood, stated that harmony in Konya brings blessings and services.

Hasan Angı who stated that the harmony of Konya municipalities is an example for other cities,  said: “The harmony and coordination in the city bring great services and blessing. The efforts of our Governor, District Governors, Metropolitan Mayor, and district mayors proved themselves on the field. The winner of this effort is our Konya. I thank each and every one of them for their contribution. On the one hand, our government's large investments continue. On the one hand, the efforts of our municipalities, which do not leave untouched areas of the city, in the neighborhoods are worthy of commendation. Thank you to all those who have progressed and developed the city. We, the Konya, shall continue to set an example for other cities. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who contributed, especially our Mayor of Karatay and Metropolitan Municipality, who brought the facility to our city.”

CELALEDDIN KARATAY BILGEHANE TO SERVE 530 YOUTH

Uğur İbrahim Altay, Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, stated that as a result of consultations with Karatay Municipality, they decided to serve the facility as Bilgehane, thanked Mayor Hasan Kılca for their cooperation and said that Celaleddin Karatay Bilgehane will serve 530 young people.

Altay continued his speech as follows; “We continue to produce our services at all events. The air in our city, especially during this period, created a very important awareness in the coordination of services in our city and the “Konya Model of Municipalism” became a model spoken not only in Konya but also in Turkey. I would like to thank our Governor, Provincial Head and mayors for this coordination. This building is one of the best examples of that. Its construction was carried out by our Karatay Municipality. Its operation will be carried out by our metropolitan municipality. As municipalities, our most important priority while producing our services is our youth and children. Because we believe that if we neglect to revive the generation while reconstructing the city, the generation we neglect shall destroy the city we built. That's why we are reconstructing the city. We are also carrying out important works on the revival of the generation, as they will build the great and powerful Turkey of tomorrow. Our Bilgehanes are one of the important brands of our projects related to young people. Currently, we serve 20 thousand young people. We decided to use this building as Bilgehane, which was built in consultation with our Karatay Municipality. A very important facility that will serve our 530 children has been realized. During the summer, we are going through a period in which our children prepare for education in many fields of activity such as Quran education, visual arts, music education, and sports. As of the education-teaching period, we support our children and youth in the fields related to both lessons and sports activities. On behalf of all Konya residents, I would like to thank, Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, both for this beautiful facility and for his coordination efforts and endeavours in his other services. The facility is good for our entire city.”

ANOTHER EXEMPLARY WORK WAS BROUGHT TO KONYA

 Selam Özboyacı,  the Konya Deputy o AK Party, stated that another exemplary work has been brought to Konya. Özboyacı said that Konya municipalities have made their investments with the understanding of serving the nation and emphasized that Bilgehanes are an important investment for the social lives of young people.

Selman Ozboyaci; “Another inspired work is being brought to our Karatay with this harmony. Bilgehanes are one of the most important investments for the social lives of young people. Our Metropolitan Municipality has been applying the Bilgehane model for a long time and successfully. This place is not only a building but also a product of Konya Model Municipality. We are glad about the service rendered by municipalities in harmony with each other by prioritizing the sense of public service. The activities carried out within this investment, which will serve as a bilgehane, will contribute to the education and social life of our youth.  I would like to thank İbrahim Altay, the Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, for the valuable work carried out in all Bilgehanes, Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, and all the employees who contributed to the construction of the Bilgehane."

BILGEHANE’S ARE A GOOD EXAMPLE OF LIFELONG EDUCATION

Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan, who thanked Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca and Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, who brought Celaleddin Karatay Bilgehane to Konya, said that the bilgehanes are a good example of lifelong education.

Governor Özkan said; “We congratulate our municipalities, which are in a rush when it comes to science and wisdom. The work of our municipalities in this regard is beyond price. Bilgehane, put into service here today, is a good example of lifelong education. I hope this facility will lead to goodness and knowledge. These collaborations of all our relevant units, support organizations, political parties, NGOs, and public institutions are crucial in increasing the quality of life of people together. I wish this love of service in our Konya to be everlasting. Bilgehanels,  a brand in Konya, is followed with interest from other cities. We congratulate everyone who contributed in this regard. I congratulate all his colleagues, especially our Mayor Hasan Bey for bringing such beautiful work to Konya, and our Metropolitan Mayor Uğur Bey, who is preparing to bring our young people together with a good education.”

Following the protocol speeches, Celaleddin Karatay Bilgehane was put into service with prayers. After the opening, the members of the protocol toured and observed the facility.
