The foundation of Çimenlik Indoor Sports Center, to be gained to Çimenlik Neighbourhood by Karatay Municipality, has been laid with a ceremony. Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, who spoke at the ceremony where the foundation of the 100th investment was laid only in the last three years, said that they continue to contribute to the development and achievement of young people through the projects they have brought in the field of sports in Karatay. While Mustafa Kavuş, the Mayor of Meram, emphasized that the efforts of the government and Konya municipalities for sports accelerated in Konya, Remzi Karaarslan, the Konya Provincial Head of the MHP, said that they see Çimenlik Indoor Sports Center as an indicator of the importance attached by Karatay Municipality to youth and sports. Mehmet Munlafalıoğlu, the Deputy Provincial Head of the AK Party, stated that they are proud of the service race of Konya municipalities. Mehmet Genç, the Karatay District Head of AK Party, stated that Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, has exceedingly realized what he promised before the elections.

Karatay Municipality, which sets an example for Turkey with its investments and projects in the field of sports, laid the foundation of the Çimenlik Indoor Sports Center to be gained to the district with a ceremony.

Çimenlik Indoor Sports Center,  the 100th groundbreaking project of Karatay Municipality, has 8 thousand 680 plots of land and 1161 square meters of the construction area. Our Çimenlik Indoor Sports Center shall cost TRY 13 million. A new and modern indoor sports center with a 15 x 28 m play area, foyer area, audience tribune, locker rooms, and administrative sections is expected to be completed and put into service by the end of the year.

WE, THE KARATAY MUNICIPALITY, SUPPORT ALL FIELDS OF SPORTS IN OUR DISTRICT

In his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony, Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca stated that they, the Karatay Municipality, have made social, cultural, educational, and health investments as well as physical and infrastructure investments.

Mayor Hasan Kılca, who said that they give particular importance to sports as a municipality, used the following expressions: “As soon as I took office, we established the Youth and Sports Directorate within our municipality. We have implemented many important investments and projects to spread sports to every corner of our Karatay up to the present. Two years ago, we laid the foundation for the project to bring 30 new artificial astroturf fields in compliance with FIFA norms to 30 schools in our district. We continue our project without a break. Our Karatay Summer Sports Schools project continues. This year, the training carried out with the participation of 1,250 athletes in 11 branches will be completed next week. Our Karatay Municipality Sports Club leads the way in raising the athletes of the future and revealing their talents. Our club trains future champions in many branches such as Football, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Kick Boxing, Gymnastics, and Wrestling. Again, we provide material and equipment support to our amateur sports clubs. We organized a friendship and fraternity tournament for our primary and secondary school students. Finally, we organized a tournament for our puppies who are trained in our summer foundation courses. Hundreds of our brothers learned about competition, but most importantly, friendship, brotherhood, and solidarity in these beautiful environments during our tournaments.”

WE ARE BRINGING A MODERN SPORTS CENTER TO OUR ÇİMENLİK NEIGHBORHOOD

Hasan Kılca also gave information about Çimenlik Indoor Sports Center, the foundation of which was laid. Kilca said: “In our Çimenlik District, next to the 15 Temmuz Şehitleri Anatolian High School, we are introducing a new and modern indoor sports center with a 15 x 28 m playing field, foyer area, audience tribune, locker rooms, and administrative sections. Our Çimenlik Indoor Sports Center, with 8 thousand 680 plots of land and a construction area of 1161 square meters, shall cost TRY 13 million, and I hope to put it into service at the beginning of December. As we have done so far, we will realize many more projects for our young people, their training and development, one by one. I already wish our center to be beneficial to our district, our neighborhood, and our fellow citizens".

OUR YOUNG PEOPLE WHO WILL ACHIEVE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS WILL BE RAISED AT THE CENTER

 Mehmet Genç, the Karatay District Head of AK Party, underlined that Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay has exceedingly realized what he promised before the elections and said, “According to the results of the consultations with our residents after the elections, there is a great effort to do whatever is necessary. One more new indoor sports hall is being gained to our Çimenlik Neighborhood. We believe that our young people who will achieve national and international achievements will raise here. Our municipality is making significant investments in many other areas. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our mayor and his team.”

KONYA'S SUCCESS IN SPORTS IS NEVER A COINCIDENCE, IT IS THE RESULT OF AN IMPORTANT EFFORT

Mustafa Kavuş, the Mayor of Meram, also emphasized that the promises of Karatay Municipality before the elections and much more investment than what was said have been realized.

Mayor Mustafa Kavuş concluded his speech as follows; "Our Karatay Municipality has a slogan of 'Another Karatay'. I think this slogan should be changed into ' A Totally Different Karatay'. Today, the 100th investment of Karatay Municipality is being realized. It is a really significant and important number. The current situation of Konya in sports is never accidental. With the investments of both our ministry and our municipalities, our Konya has leveled up and we have become one of the few cities in Europe. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, and his team, who gained Çimenlik Indoor Sports Center to Karatay."

AN INDICATOR OF THE IMPORTANCE ATTACHED BY KARATAY MUNICIPALITY TO SPORTS AND YOUTH

Emphasizing that they laid the foundation for the 100th investment of Karatay Municipality together, Remzi Karaarslan, the Konya Provincial Head of the MHP, said, “While visiting the neighborhoods with our Mayor Hasan Kılca, before the 2019 elections, the demands or needs of all neighborhoods were noted one by one. When we looked from that day to this, our mayor has put a different complexion on the district with the understanding of "Another Karatay". The project, for which the foundation has been laid today, is actually an indicator of the importance our Karatay Municipality attaches to our youth and sports. I wish the center all the best."

WE ARE PROUD OF THE EFFORTS OF OUR MUNICIPALITIES IN THE SERVICE RACE

Mehmet Munlafalıoğlu, the Deputy Provincial Head of the AK Party,  also reminded us that there was the opening of the social facility gained by the Karatay Municipality to Divanlar Neighbourhood just at the weekend, and stated that Karatay Municipality brought many projects to the district one by one.

Munlafalıoğlu, the Deputy Provincial Head, concluded his speech as follows: “We cannot catch up with the opening or groundbreaking programs of our municipalities, and we are really proud of that. Our "People's Alliance" municipalities act with the understanding of our President, 'There is no Rest for the Weary', and while our municipalities are trying to add something to those done before, they are also in a service race. Thus, both our cities and our citizens are gainers. I would like to thank our Mayor of Karatay, Hasan Kılca, who brought Çimenlik Indoor Sports Center to our district.”

After the speeches, the foundation of Çimenlik Indoor Sports Center, to be gained to Çimenlik District, was laid with prayers. On the other hand,  AK Party Konya Provincial and Karatay District Executive Board Members, Hülya Işık, the  AK Party Karatay Women's Branch Head,  Sebahattin Küçük Doğru, the   Karatay District Head of Karatay, Hacı Ali Eken, the President of Headmen's Association  Karatay Deputy Mayors, unit managers, headmen, and citizens attended the ground-breaking program of the center.
