The closing event of Karatay Summer Sports Schools, which provided by Karatay Municipality for children and youth in the district since 2019, was held with a magnificent program. The program, which included sports, acrobatics and illusion shows, concerts, and many other activities, which attracted great interest from the citizens, witnessed quite colorful images.  Tahir Akyürek, the Konya Deputy of the AK Party, who attended the program, emphasized that Konya municipalities provide important contributions and good services to the city, and said, "Karatay made the greatest progress in this regard.". Orhan Erdem, the Konya Deputy of the AK Party, who noted that municipalities have made important investments in many fields from the city's school needs to health facilities, from sports projects to organizations,  also expressed that they attach importance to Karatay Summer Sports Schools in this sense. Hasan Kılca, the mayor of Karatay, said, "He really wishes to make an Olympic champion from Karatay, and we will continue to work with our youth to achieve this goal."

The Karatay Summer Sports Schools which are organized by the Karatay Municipality to make the children and young people in the district love sports,  get them to adopt the habit of doing sports, as well as contribute to their physical and mental development, and  protect them from harmful habits, came to an end."

TRAINING COMPLETED AT KARATAY SUMMER SPORTS SCHOOLS

2,800 athletes, who registered for Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, Swimming, Gymnastics, Kick Boxing, Karate, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, and Chess branches, received training between 27 June and 23 August, accompanied by expert trainers.

The closing event of the 2022 Karatay Municipality Karatay Summer Sports Schools was held with a magnificent program.

The program was attended by Tahir Akyürek and Orhan Erdem, the Konya Deputies of the AK Party, Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, Prof. Dr. Ali Öge, the Provincial Mufti, Bilal Yavaş, the Deputy Provincial Director of Konya Youth and Sports, Sami Sağdıç, the Karatay District Director of National Education, Fahrettin Kulu, the Konya Provincial Deputy Head of the AK Party,  Remzi Karaarslan, the Konya Provincial Head of the MHP, Mehmet Genç, the Karatay District Head of the AK Party Mustafa Dolular, the Meram District Head of the AK Party, Sebahattin Küçük Doğru, the Karatay District Head of the MHP, training athletes, trainers, families of athletes and many citizens

WE ARE WORKING ENTHUSIASTICALLY TO PREPARE THE FUTURE OF OUR YOUTH

Karatay Summer Sports Schools Closing Event of 2022 Term, held at Şehit Nihat Gün Sports Facility, started with protocol speeches.

In his speech, Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, emphasized that as Karatay Municipality, they are making efforts to make the district much more successful in education, sports, culture, social activities and many other fields.

Mayor Hasan Kılca said; “You are the future of Turkey. We work with great pleasure and enthusiasm to prepare your future in the best way possible. We are working every day to offer opportunities to our young and talented children and to diversify sports activities even more. Today, while making our Celaleddin Karatay Youth Center one of the largest book cafes in our country, we are also building a huge tennis court with modern facilities on an area of 4,600 square meters in our Ulubatlı Hasan Neighborhood. While we are also building a Youth Center with a library, cafe, conference and gym, and playgrounds in our Köprübaşı Neighborhood, we are also installing 30 artificial astroturfs under FIFA standards in the gardens of 30 of our schools. I hope that we will complete all our youth centers and carpet pitches as soon as possible and present them to the young children of our Karatay."

OUR KARATAY MUNICIPALITY SPORTS CLUB WILL BECOME A PROMINENT CLUB BY TRAINING MORE NATIONAL ATHLETES

Hasan Kılca stated that they have been organizing Karatay Summer Sports Schools since 2019,  to bring young people together with different sports branches, make their summer holidays much more enjoyable, and further develop themselves in their branches, and concluded his speech as follows;

“ This year, we organized sports activities in 11 different branches. Our 2,800 students got involved in sports here. A total of 7,500 brothers and sisters have taken the advantage of the Karatay Summer Sports Schools that we have been organizing since 2019. This year, we felt once again how you are prone to sports, how much you miss sports, and care about this field. We also saw the pleasure of your families. It is our greatest happiness. The national athletes of our Karatay Belediyespor Club made us proud with their results during the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games. Nur Banu Balkancı, the national shooting athlete of our Karatay Municipality Sports Club, which currently has around 700 licensed athletes, won a bronze medal at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games. Again in Para Table Tennis Men's Class 5, the Para Table Tennis Men's National Team, including our club's Table Tennis Coach Hamza Çalışkan, won all their matches and became the champion and the owner of the gold medal. These results, of course, are only the achievements obtained in the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games.  In addition to these results, in recent years, many of our athletes in our club have achieved results that make us proud on local, national, and international platforms. I hope our club and our athletes will be successful in the Olympics, and national and international organizations in the coming years, and will become a club that has made a name for itself by raising many more national athletes. We will continue to work hard for our children. Thanks to you, our Karatay, Konya, and country will continue to be a breath for today and hope for tomorrow”.

KARATAY IS A VERY PRECIOUS DISTRICT OF OURS

Tahir Akyürek, Konya Deputy of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party), said that the municipalities of Konya provide important contributions and good services to the city, and due to these efforts.

Deputy Tahir Akyürek said; “Especially in the last 15 to 20 years, our Konya has become another Konya. It has shown great improvement in sports facilities, parks, green areas, roads, buildings, crossroads and many other areas. However, the biggest improvement was in our Karatay district. Today, our Karatay district is both a city of sports, an industrial city, a center for values tourism, and a city of culture. Karatay is a very precious district with its tram line, cultural centers, sports halls, modern buildings, roads and green areas. I would like to thank all our mayors who served Karatay. This event was also very good. Our children received training in various sports branches at Karatay Summer Sports Schools and spent their time very well. I would like to thank the Mayor of Karatay and his team who realized the project”

KARATAY SUMMER SPORTS SCHOOLS ALLOW CHILDREN TO RAISE WELL

Orhan Erdem, Konya Deputy of the AK Party, noted that they are proud of the mayors of Konya and emphasized that the municipalities are closely interested in all the needs of Konya.

Deputy Orhan Erdem said: “Our municipalities are aiding our city from school needs to health facilities, from projects in which our youth can do sports, to organizations and many other fields. They do this work in the best manner. The view here is really nice. Our Karatay Municipality provided a very good environment for our children and youth to be healthy, stay away from bad habits, and make their bodies much healthier with sports. I congratulate Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay. Wish good luck to all our children and families. All of our municipalities, especially our Metropolitan Municipality, greatly attend and follow our children's education, health, social life, and many other issues.”.”

THE CLOSING EVENT OF KARATAY SUMMER SPORTS SCHOOLS FOR THE YEAR 2022 WITNESSED THE MAGNIFICENT VIEWS

Demirci sang beautiful pieces to those who joined the program. Following the concert, the performances of the athletes trained in different sports branches at Karatay Summer Sports Schools started. Epecially, the performances of Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing and Gymnast athletes were highly appreciated.

In the 2022 Closing Event of Karatay Summer Sports Schools, which witnessed very colorful views and where the participants had fun, many acrobatics and illusion shows took place in addition to the performances of the athletes. The activities organized by Karatay Municipality ended with a magnificent fireworks show.

Sanatçı Ömer Demirci’nin konseriyle başladı. Ömer Demirci, programa katılanlara birbirinden güzel eserler seslendirdi. Konserin ardından Karatay Yaz Spor Okulları’nda farklı spor branşlarında eğitim alan sporcuların gösterilerine geçildi. Özellikle Karate, Taekwondo, Boks ve Jimnastikçi sporcuların gösterileri büyük beğeni topladı.

Oldukça renkli görüntülere sahne olan ve katılanların eğlenceli vakitler geçirdiği Karatay Yaz Spor Okulları’nın 2022 Yılı Kapanış Etkinliği’nde sporcuların gösterisinin yanı sıra çeşitli akrobasi ve illüzyon gösteriler de yer aldı. Karatay Belediyesi tarafından düzenlenen etkinlikler, muhteşem havai fişek gösterisiyle sona erdi.
