The foundation of the Karatay Youth, Education, and Sports Center, brought to the district by Karatay Municipality, was laid with a ceremony. Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, who emphasized that the project is the 102nd investment in Karatay in the last three years, indicated that the center, costing approximately 60 million TRY, will add significant value to the city if completed. Mayor Hasan Kılca said; “We continue our work unintermittedly with the inspiration from the vision of Heartfelt Municipality”.

Karatay Municipality, which sets an example with its investments in education and youth, laid the foundation of the Karatay Youth, Education, and Sports Center, which it will bring to the district, with a ceremony.

The project, which was put into practice on Ali Ulvi Kurucu Avenue, Köprübaşı Neighbourhood, has a land of 3355 square meters and a construction area of 3000 square meters.

There will be a Fairy Tale Workshop, Photography Workshop, Marbling Calligraphy Workshop, Cafeteria, Music Workshop, Media Workshop, E-Sports Playstation Room, Foreign Language Workshop, Library, Silent Library, Audio Library, Sports Hall, Trainer's Room and Karatay City Council Administrative Office in the Karatay Youth, Education and Sports Center, which will cost approximately 60 million TRY.

Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, who spoke at the center's groundbreaking ceremony, indicated that Karatay Youth, Education, and Sports Center will add significant value to the city.

Mayor Hasan Kılca emphasized that the said project is the 102nd investment they have laid in Karatay in the last three years, and said; “Our project has an important feature. In the current area of our project, we had an unused astroturf before. Our citizens asked us for new work for this area. Our workmates went from door to door for a month and surveyed the area. We evaluated the data we obtained. Considering the requests, demands, and suggestions suitable for the plan and the area, we have brought together much equipment in this project. With the inspiration from the vision of Heartfelt Municipality, we continue our works.”

WE ARE WORKING WITH THE VISION OF HEARTFELT MUNICIPALITY

Mayor Hasan Kılca who indicated that they are working with the inspiration from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's vision of Social Municipalism, which he suggested in 1994, and the Vision of Heartfelt Municipalism, which he demonstrated in 2019, continued his speech as follows; “We continue to provide the most suitable services to our district by exchanging ideas with our fellow citizens on many issues from infrastructure and superstructure to social living spaces, from green belts and parks to support for the economy, employment, and agricultural activities.  In our center, there are Media, Music, Fairy Tale, Photography, Foreign Language, and Traditional Crafts Workshops, as well as E-Sports Rooms, an Audio and Silent Library, Sports Halls, Cafeteria, and a Parking Lot.  Nevertheless, in our center, the administrative offices of our Karatay City Council, which has made a name for its successful and original works, will also be included. We hope to realize the opening of our youth center, which we will build with a cost of approximately 60 million liras together again. We look forward to hosting all our young people and children who want to develop their skills, acquire a hobby related to their own interests and spend their time productively at our center. Soon, we, the Karatay Culture and Art Academy will put into service the training facility that we completed in our Doğuş Neighbourhood. We have completed our Nature School project in our City Park, and we will put it at the disposal of our children after a while.”

A NEW SERVICE AND A NEW INVESTMENT FOR EVERY NEW DAY

Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, also gave information about Karatay Municipality's other investments and projects for young people.

Mayor Hasan Kılca said; “As we always mention, we did what needed to be done in youth and sports. We shall continue to do so. We have been working every day to provide new opportunities to our young people, children, and talented youth, and to diversify the sports activities in our district. We have made a great effort to increase the quality of education in our district since the beginning date of our duty. We completed six education/training facilities and delivered them to our national directorate of education to contribute to the classroom needs of our Karatay. This year, we paid the YKS application fees of all our Grade 12 students residing in our district and who will take the university exam (YKS). Afterward, a cash contribution of TRY 1000 was provided to all Karatay youth (regardless of which city s/he came from) who enrolled in the university for the first time. We established a TÜBİTAK Science Library in all our schools in Karatay and filled them with all TÜBİTAK's scientific publications. We prepared the physical conditions for our young people to bring out the best in them and launched the RoboKaratay Project. The meaning of all these services I mentioned is that we will continue to stand by our youth, who is our energy source and hope.”

KONYA MUNICIPALITIES COMPETE IN SERVICE

Faruk Ulular, the Deputy Mayor of Seçuklu, who said that the services are carried out with the understanding of Konya Model of Municipality, also stated that Konya municipalities compete with each other in service.

Faruk Ulular stated the following; “The outstanding Konya model of AK Party Municipality has proven itself again today. Our municipalities compete with each other in service. Since our municipalities attach due importance to our youth in all kinds of services such as culture, health, and sports, they gain new facilities every day. When looking at the past, there was no such service in the neighborhoods. Such activities are now carried out in more modern facilities. These facilities will provide benefits to young people in terms of sports, health, and culture. I congratulate our Karatay Municipality for bringing such a good service to the city.”

THERE IS A GREAT EFFORT IN THE BACKGROUND OF INVESTMENTS

Mustafa Kavuş, the Mayor of Meram, congratulated the center and talked about the importance of his 102nd investment, whose foundation was laid by Karatay Municipality.

Mustafa Kavuş who stated that there is a great effort in the background of every single work gained to Konya, said: “We are in a period of unity and solidarity at the highest level in Konya. It leads to nice work.  The number of 102 investments given by our Mayor Hasan is a good example. 102 investments, the foundation of which was laid, is a considerable number and there is a great effort in its background. Opening the investments and laying the foundation is an easy task. Previously, there were at least a few years of project preparation, zoning, and many more stages. We, the Konya municipalities, will continue to work to provide the best service to our fellow citizens. I wish the center to be beneficial to the city and especially to the young people. I congratulate our Mayor Hasan who contributed.”

SUCH INVESTMENTS ARE IMPORTANT FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR YOUTH

Hasan Angı, the Konya Provincial Head of the AK Party, said that Konya Municipalities work regardless of the concept of overtime to meet the needs of the neighborhoods, and as a result, productive works have emerged.

Hasan Angı who underlined that young people are very important for the future of the country said; “This center is a distinction of the AK Party Municipalism and the Konya model. Our municipalities keep their shoulder to the wheel to meet the needs of our neighborhoods in social, cultural, physical, and many other areas. These are productive works. Therefore, I would like to thank all our municipalities and everyone who set their heart on, labor, and sweat for these works. Our Konya municipalities compete in service. We aim to integrate our values and to create a youth with a vision for the future. For this, we all have responsibilities. We carry on to work in cooperation with all our institutions and organizations. I would like to thank all his team through our mayor who contributed to this project.”

After the protocol speeches, the foundation of Karatay Youth, Education, and Sports Center, brought to Köprübaşı Neighbourhood, was laid with prayers.
