Akabe Social Facility,  completed by Karatay Municipality which includes vocational courses, private classrooms, workshops, activity rooms, and study centers, was opened with a ceremony. Ahmet Melih Güçlü, the Deputy Mayor of  Konya Metropolitan Municipality spoke at the ceremony and emphasized that Akabe Social Facility is a good investment that will serve the future of Konya. While Hasan Angı, the Konya Provincial Head of the AK Party, underlined that Konya municipalities invest in the future of the city, Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, emphasized that Akabe Social Facility and Training Center will make significant contributions to the social and cultural life, education, economy and employment of citizens and said: Those who worry about the nation and whose purpose is service never get tired of working. Those who started off for service stop at nothing, and those who set out with love do not fail”

Karatay Municipality, which has implemented many projects in every field from education to culture, from sports to environment, in the direction of the needs of Karatay and the demands of the citizens, opened the Akabe Social Facility completed in Akabe Neighborhood.

Akabe Social Facility, which has a current investment value of 21 million TL with environmental regulations, was built on a construction field of 2.271 square meters in Akabe Neighbourhood. The facility includes a study center, vocational courses, workshops and classrooms, a cafeteria, a kitchen, children's playgrounds, and activity rooms.

THOSE WHO STARTED OFF FOR SERVICE STOP AT NOTHING

Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, who spoke at the opening program for the facility stated that they made investments in Karatay in favor of citizens.

Mayor Hasan Kılca who emphasized that they hold an opening ceremony or a groundbreaking ceremony every week said the following; “Those who worry about the nation and whose purpose is service never get tired of working. Those who started off for service stop at nothing, and those who set out with love do not fail. We always develop our neighborhoods and districts in all our work and give priority to works that will make our people happier. Our Akabe Social Facility, which has a current investment value of 21 million TRY, includes a study center, vocational courses, which are the big brand of our metropolitan (KOMEK), workshops and classrooms, cafeteria, kitchen, children's playgrounds, activity rooms, and similar equipment. I believe that our social facility and training center will make significant contributions to the social and cultural life, education, family economy, and employment of our citizens.”

MANY INVESTMENTS HAVE MADE IN OUR AKABE NEIGHBORHOOD

Hasan Kılca, who stated that they made significant investments in the Akabe Neighbourhood, concluded his words as follows; “The Ahmet Çalık Park, which we opened last month, is also located in our Akabe Neighborhood. Our Saçlı Kasap Park, another green belt park, is almost completed. Again, we have put the Karatay Science and Art Center (BİLSEM) into practice, which will contribute significantly to the development of our children, and their tendency to science and education life, in this neighborhood. Our Akabe Neighborhood, with a City Hospital, Courthouse, and university, is an example of urbanization with regular development and is a rich neighborhood in all respects. We will continue to work for all our neighborhoods. As the big Konya Family, we will continue to work hand in hand for our district, city, and country and act shoulder to shoulder with our municipalities together with all our organizations. On this occasion, acting with the understanding of the "Konya Model of Municipalism", I would like to congratulate once again our Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay, who put our city over the top with his services with many investments and who was recently elected as the President of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities.”

KARATAY MUNICIPALITY CONTRIBUTES TO OUR CITY WITH SOCIAL FACILITY MOVES

Ahmet Melih Güçlü, the Deputy Mayor of the Konya Metropolitan Municipality pointed out that the Akabe Social Facility is a good investment that will serve the future of Konya, and said that Karatay Municipality has made a significant contribution to Konya and Karatay with its social facility moves.

Ahmet Melih Güçlü said: “We administer our city together with our district municipalities with common sense, and we work and make decisions together. In this sense, we carry out significant work in coordination with our Karatay Municipality. We aim to revive all the districts of Konya in all areas with all the services we put into practice. The Akabe Social Facility, built by our Karatay Municipality, will also contribute greatly to the social and cultural development of our district. Best wishes to all our citizens and Karatay for this nice work, which includes vocational courses and many social activity areas belonging to our Metropolitan Municipality. Our Karatay Municipality has been carrying out the social facility project at 31 different points with its works in this field since 2019. This is really a considerable amount. KONYA MUNICIPALITIES INVEST IN THE FUTURE OF OUR CITY

Hasan Angı, the Konya Provincial Head of the AK Party, mentioned that Konya municipalities are investing in the future and tomorrow of the city.

Hasan Angı, the Provincial Head, expressed that Konya is a city of unity and solidarity, and concluded his speech as follows; “Our AK Party municipalities are creating beautiful works all around the country. The AK Party government is the current representative of the tradition of "let people live so that the state can also live". This facility is an important investment that will serve our neighborhood, district, and Konya. With the strength we have acquired through unity and solidarity, our metropolitan municipality and district municipalities continue to invest in whatever the need is. Our city also gains from this. These efforts to bring the city to the future come to fruition with such good investments and services. I wish this facility to be beneficial for Konya and congratulate those who contributed to the construction of the facility.”

After the protocol speeches, the Akabe Social Facility and the Training Center, which was brought to the Akabe District by the Karatay Municipality, was opened after the prayers.
