Karatay Municipality, which brought Turkey's largest lavender garden to Konya, carries out a new project that will put a different complexion on the city and the district. In this context, Karatay Municipality is bringing the Karatay Rose Garden, in which 50,000 roses and 160 different types of roses will be planted, on an area of 13,700 square meters. Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Kartaya, stated that the Karatay Rose Garden, which will be created right next to the Lavender, Hobby, and Picnic Gardens in the Karaaslan Üzümcü District, will make significant contributions to the aesthetics of the city.

Karatay Municipality adds a new one to its important investments and projects it realizes to put a different complexion on the district.

Karatay Municipality is now bringing the Karatay Rose Garden to the district after the Karatay Lavender Garden, which has attracted considerable attention from local and foreign visitors for the last three years.

Karatay Rose Garden is being laid out on an area of 13,700 square meters in Karaaslan Üzümcü District. The Karatay Rose Garden, in which 50,000 roses of 160 different types will be planted, is expected to welcome visitors in the summer months next year.

In Karatay Rose Garden, which is planned to be the new attraction point of the district after Karatay Lavender Garden with its visual beauty and scent when it is completed, everything has been considered for the visitors. In addition to the citizens who will visit the garden, professional or amateur photography enthusiasts will be able to take beautiful photos and experience an unforgettable day by using the canopy swing, rose umbrella, gazebo, rose jewelry, traverse hiking trails, rose trees and many other objects that will take place in the garden project, accompanied by unique scents.

Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, who gave information about the Karatay Rose Garden project, stated that they will increase the attractiveness of Karatay, which has increased with the Lavender Garden, Hobby, and Picnic Gardens, with the Karatay Rose Garden.

Mayor Hasan Kılca gave the following information about the works carried out by the Directorate of Park and Gardens teams in the region, “We, the Karatay Municipality, remain at the disposal of our district and our citizens with our green belt works, park and garden work throughout the district. In 2019, we brought the largest Lavender Garden in Turkey to our Karatay, which has attracted the considerable attention of our local and foreign visitors for the last three years with its unique visual beauty and also its economic value. In this context, we thought that a rose garden, which will enliven us with its appearance and smell, would befit an area of ​​13,700 square meters just across our Karatay Lavender Garden. When our Karatay Rose Garden is completed, we will have created very beautiful and special spaces for our citizens and photography enthusiasts. Our garden, which will also contribute to the green area in our district, will become the new favorite destination of the district with the visual beauty of thousands of roses of different colors. Previously, there were Rose Festivals and Rose Festivals in our city. We hope to organize a Rose Festival after creating our Karatay Rose Garden. Therefore, with Karatay Rose Garden, we will gain more strength from the attraction we obtained in this region with Lavender, Hobby, and Picnic Gardens.
