THE BUDGET OF KARATAY MUNICIPALITY HAS INCREASED BY 706% IN THE LAST 4 YEARS

HASAN KILCA: WE ARE A MUNICIPALITY THAT OWES SERVICE ONLY TO THE NATION

The 2023 Budget of Karatay Municipality was unanimously adopted by the Municipal Council and determined as 2.5 billion TL. Karatay Municipality, which aims not to make concessions on financial discipline in 2023 as it has been until today, will not go to any borrowing in 2023, which is the 100th year of the Republic. The municipality will implement all investments and services with its own resources again. Emphasizing that they have increased the municipal budget by 706 percent since 2019, Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca said; “We will continue to be at the service of Karatay with our new services, original projects and important investments that will contribute to the Turkish Century vision announced by our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the 100th year of Turkey.”

The Karatay Municipality Council discussed the 2023 Budget of the municipality and unanimously adopted the determination of the next year's budget as TL 2.5 billion.

70 PERCENT OF THE 2.5 BILLION TL BUDGET WAS ALLOCATED FOR INVESTMENTS

As in previous years, the largest share in the municipal budget in 2023 was again allocated to investments and projects to be made in the district.

Accordingly, the Building Control Directorate, which undertakes the construction of projects in which schools, health, social and cultural facilities, as well as sports activities can be carried out, received the largest share of the 2023 Budget unanimously adopted by the Karatay Municipality Council. The Building Control Directorate will have a budget of 710 million 605 thousand 500 TL, which is 28.42 percent of the 2023 Budget.

While the Directorate of Public Works with its roads, parquet and many other works that make a great contribution to the transportation comfort of Karatay residents has a budget of 471 million TL, Financial Services 308 million 200 thousand TL, Parks and Gardens Directorate 215 million 456 thousand TL; Real Estate and Land Acquisition Directorate will contribute to the development, beautification and progress of Karatay in the new period with a budget of 149 million 619 thousand TL.

WE WILL RAISE THE STANDARD OF LIVING OF KARATAY IN 2023 AS WELL

Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca thanked the Council Members of Karatay Municipality who approved the 2023 Budget and wished the 2023 Budget to be auspicious.

Emphasizing that they have allocated the largest share to investments in the 2023 Budget of Karatay Municipality, Mayor Hasan Kılca said, “The 2023 Budget of our Karatay Municipality was discussed and adopted in our assembly. We have increased our budget by 56 percent compared to last year. Last year, we increased it by 148 percent compared to the previous year. Thus, as Karatay Municipality, we continue our journey by increasing our budget every year. Investments are taking the largest share in our budget again next year. The total share of the budgets of our Directorates of Building Control, Public Works, Parks and Gardens, Real Estate and Land Acquisition, Environmental Protection and Control and Facilities reaches 70 percent. This means that, as it has been until now, it will return to our compatriots as a service from now on. since 2019, we have increased our budget by a total of 706 percent. Our park, garden and green belt works, infrastructure and social facility projects, schools, police station buildings, Family Health Center investments and many other services that we have implemented together with our public institutions constitute only a part of the recent period. All these investments are services that raise the standard of living of our compatriots from Karatay,”

WE ARE JUST A MUNICIPALITY THAT OWES A DEBT OF SERVICE TO THE NATION

Karatay Municipality implements all its services and investments with its own resources. In other words, the municipality has no debts. Hasan Kılca drew attention to this issue in his statements about the 2023 Budget.

Kılca concluded his words as follows; “As Karatay Municipality, I would like to express that we do not owe any debt to any of our tradesmen, public institutions or banks while implementing our investments and projects. Our interest expenses are zero Lira. However, we have only one debt; it is our debt of service to our nation. We are trying to do what we promised to our compatriots one by one before the 2019 Elections and fulfill these promises. The 'Turkish Century' starts in 2023. Our new services, original projects and investments that will contribute to this vision announced by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, constitute a large proportion of our 2023 budget. As the Municipality of Karatay, we will continue to walk the road for our district, for our fellow citizens and with our fellow citizens, God willing.”
