KARATAY HOSTED TURKEY'S LARGEST SOFTWARE EVENT "DEVFEST 2022”

THOUSANDS OF SOFTWARE, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND GAME DEVELOPERS CAME TOGETHER AT KARATAY

HASAN KILCA: WE STAND BY OUR YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE OUR FUTURE

Karatay Municipality hosted Turkey's largest software event “DevFest Konya 2022”. At the event attended by thousands of technology enthusiasts from all over Turkey, mobile and web technologies, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies and game development with the recent developments in these areas were discussed. Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca, who came together with young people and IT company representatives at the organization, said; “We were happy with the appetite of our young people for new developments.  We will continue to stand by them and support them,” 

Turkey's largest software event and also Konya's largest local technology conference “DevFest Konya 2022” was held in Karatay hosted by Karatay Municipality this year.

Thousands of technology enthusiasts from all over Turkey participated in the event organized by Google Developer Groups (GDG) Konya.

In the event held at Karatay Youth Center, many important software and information technology companies and universities such as Karatay Municipality, Selçuk University, Necmettin Erbakan University, KTO Karatay University, Konya Food and Agriculture University, Konya Technical University and Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University, and many other public institutions and organizations set up stands related to their own brands and works.

WE WERE VERY HAPPY TO HOST SUCH AN IMPORTANT EVENT FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE

Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca also visited the “DevFest Konya 2022” event held in the two large halls and exposition area of the Karatay Youth Center and met with the representatives of the companies participating in the organization and technology-savvy young people.

President Hasan Kılca, who evaluated the event and thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the event, said; “DevFest Konya 2022 is being held in Karatay this year. We are together with young people from many regions of Turkey and the world, as well as software developers and technology company representatives. The appetite of our young people, especially regarding software and information technologies, is very clear and we have seen this in this event. As the Municipality of Karatay, we continue to stand by them in this direction,” 

FULL MARKS TO “DEVFEST KONYA 2022” FROM YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE TECHNOLOGY SECTOR

Technology-savvy young people who participated in the “DevFest Konya 2022” event organized by Google Developer Groups (GDG) Konya with the contributions of Karatay Municipality also emphasized that they liked the organization very much.

Konya Food and Agriculture University Computer Engineering Preparatory Class student Emin Gök said, "I am very happy to participate in the DevFest hosted by Karatay Municipality. It was a very useful program for me and my department”; and Eren Çataltepe, who participated in the program from Istanbul, emphasized that he came to Konya for the first time and that DevFest Konya 2022 was held very successfully.

The organizers of DevFest Konya 2022 were at least as excited as the young people participating in the event. Google Developer Groups (GDG) Konya representatives and speakers who stated that they have been preparing for the program for 4 months also stated that more than 2,200 participants came to the festival and that they were very pleased with it.

Google Developer Groups (GDG) Konya Leader Emre Özcan said; “We are organizing a big software event sponsored by Karatay Municipality and Google. Young people who come to the event; They can meet with software companies and public institutions and organizations one-on-one and be instrumental in important developments regarding their own future. We would like to thank Karatay Municipality very much for supporting this event, which is described as the developers festival,”.

MANY PRESENTATIONS WERE MADE SUCH AS MOBILE AND WEB TECHNOLOGIES, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, CLOUD TECHNOLOGIES AND GAME DEVELOPMENT

Important managers and representatives of well-known brands and companies in Turkey and around the world made over 17 presentations on mobile and web technologies, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, game development and developments in these fields throughout the day in two large halls of Karatay Youth Center.
