WORK CONTINUES IN THE PROVINCES AFFECTED BY THE EARTHQUAKE
Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, said that after the 6 February earthquakes, very serious injuries occurred in 11 provinces.
Kılca stated that as Konya, our works such as search and rescue, debris removal, accommodation, and infrastructure have been performed by the chambers, citizens, and district municipalities, under the coordination of the Metropolitan Municipality, from the first day in order to heal these wounds, and said that organizations such as food and clothing also continue.
Kılca, who stated that they are working to establish a city consisting of 1000 containers in Hatay, said, "We are building 1+1 prefabricated houses in our Karatay district for our earthquake victim citizens who came to Konya. We will complete the prefabricated houses fully furnished and put them at the service of our earthquake victims in a short time. We cannot bring back the dead, but our state is very strong, thank God."
WE WILL MEET THE NEEDS OF EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS AS THE MUNICIPALITY"
Kılca, who emphasized that the area where the prefabricated houses will be placed was specially chosen, said:
"Our Earthquake victim brothers and sisters will find themselves in a neighborhood environment without suffering the difficulties of being a stranger since there are schools near the area, it is right next to the social facilities, and we have parks. I hope they will keep up with this environment. Our local people are already helpful and charitable. I think I will host them here. No one is below the breadline here, they are our guests. We, the municipality, will meet the needs of earthquake victims."
Kilca added that the earthquake victims determined by the coordination of the Governor's Office and AFAD (disaster and emergency management presidency) will be placed in prefabricated houses.
